Curing Guidelines for Shaliteink Puff Plastisol Ink:

Getting an accurate cure is important for the durability and look of your print.

• Cure Temperature: Ensure the entire ink layer reaches and maintains 160°C (320°F) for the recommended time.
• Flash Temperature: Flash at 120°C – 140°C (248°F – 284°F) for 3-5 seconds to achieve tack-free surfaces for multi-color prints or additional layers.
• Important Note on Polyester: While our inks are designed for versatility, when printing on polyester or poly-blend fabrics, pay close attention to the cure temperature. Curing closer to 160°C can help prevent dye migration (bleeding) that often occurs when polyester dyes reach their gaseous state at higher temperatures (typically 270°-300°F). Always do pre-production testing.
• Testing for Cure:

• Stretch test: After cooling, stretch the print to approximately two-thirds the garment’s normal stretch. If the ink bursts and does not retract, it may not heal properly.
• Washing Test: For definitive test, wash the garment 5-10 times. Undercooked prints will show significant deterioration after only 1-3 washes.
