Why Choose Shaliteink Magenta Plastisol Ink?
Shalitink magenta plastisol inks have been carefully formulated to meet the growing needs of the screen printing industry. Our twenty years of manufacturing excellence means you are getting a product born from deep understanding and constant innovation. We understand that time and quality are important. That’s why our inks are ready-to-use straight from the bucket, providing exceptional functionality without the need for extensive additives or adjustments.
The low cure temperature of 160°C (320°F) is a significant advantage, especially for modern print shops. This feature not only reduces energy consumption and operating costs but also helps prevent dye migration on sensitive polyester blends. By curing at this low temperature, you reduce the risk of polyester dyes offgassing and bleeding into your vibrant magenta ink, ensuring crisp, clean prints even on challenging substrates. This makes Shaliteink magenta plastisol ink an economically sensible choice for any screen printing business aiming for high productivity and low utility bills.
Curing Instructions for Optimal Results:
Achieving an accurate cure is critical to the longevity and quality of your screen printing design. Shaliteink Magenta Plastisol ink cures effectively at 160°C (320°F).
- Flash Curing: For multi-colored prints or when an underbase is required, flash at 120-140°C (248-284°F) for approximately 3-5 seconds. The exact time may vary depending on your equipment and ink deposit thickness.
- Full cure: Make sure the entire ink layer reaches 160°C (320°F) and remains intact. Surface temperature readings from laser guns can be misleading because they only measure the top layer. For accurate curing, we recommend using a donut probe or strip thermometer to verify the core ink temperature.
Testing for Cure:
- Stretch test: After cooling, stretch the print to approximately two-thirds the garment’s normal stretch. If the ink bursts and does not retract, it may not heal properly.
- Washing Test: For the most reliable test, allow the print to cool and then wash the garment 5-10 times. Signs of deterioration after 1-3 washes indicate undertreatment. Always test before starting mass production.
Clean-Up & Storage:
- On press: For quick color changes or mid-production cleanup, use a dedicated plastisol ink press wash or ink degradant.
- Screen Cleaning: After your print run, clean your screen thoroughly using a high quality Plastisol Ink Screen Wash or Ink Degradant.
- Storage: Store Shalighteink Magenta Plastisol Ink in a cool, dry place between 18-32°C (65-90°F), away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 32°C (90°F) may cause the ink to solidify in the container.
Pro Tips for Success:
- Underbasing: When printing magenta plastisol ink on dark fabrics, we highly recommend using a white underbase to achieve the most vibrant and true-to-life color results.
- Mesh Count: For optimal opacity and soft hand, experiment with the appropriate mesh count. Lower mesh counts generally result in thicker ink deposits and higher opacity.
- Fabric Selection: While our inks are versatile, best results are often seen on 100% cotton. When working with poly blends, make sure you monitor the temperature closely to prevent dye transfer.
Choose Shaliteink Magenta Screen Printing Plastisol Ink for consistent quality, brilliant color, and a printing experience that supports your success.
