Achieving an accurate cure is critical to the longevity and quality of your screen printing design. Shaliteink Magenta Plastisol ink cures effectively at 160°C (320°F).

• Flash Curing: For multi-colored prints or when an underbase is required, flash at 120-140°C (248-284°F) for approximately 3-5 seconds. The exact time may vary depending on your equipment and ink deposit thickness.
• Full cure: Make sure the entire ink layer reaches 160°C (320°F) and remains intact. Surface temperature readings from laser guns can be misleading because they only measure the top layer. For accurate curing, we recommend using a donut probe or strip thermometer to verify the core ink temperature.

Testing for Cure:

• Stretch test: After cooling, stretch the print to approximately two-thirds the garment’s normal stretch. If the ink bursts and does not retract, it may not heal properly.
• Washing Test: For the most reliable test, allow the print to cool and then wash the garment 5-10 times. Signs of deterioration after 1-3 washes indicate undertreatment. Always test before starting mass production.
