Curing Guidelines for Shaliteink Tinta Plastisol:

Achieving a proper cure is crucial for the durability of your prints.

• Cure Temperature: Cure at 160°C (320°F). Make sure the entire ink layer reaches and maintains this temperature for optimal adhesion and wash fastness.
• Flash Temperature: Flash at 120°C – 140°C (248°F – 284°F) for 3-5 seconds. Flash time may vary depending on your equipment and ink deposit thickness.
• Testing: We strongly recommend doing stretch test and wash test before full production. If the print tears or wears after washing, increase your cure time or temperature. For accurate temperature readings, consider using a donut probe, as laser temperature guns can give misleading surface readings. Remember, the entire ink layer must reach the specified curing temperature. Cotton clothes may take a little longer to warm up due to their absorbency.

Clean-Up & Storage:

• On press: Use a dedicated Plastisol press wash or ink degradant for easy cleaning.
• In the sink: For screens, use Plastisol Screen Wash or Ink Degradant.
• Storage: Store Shaliteink Plastisol Ink at room temperature, ideally between 18-32°C (65-90°F), and avoid direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 32°C (90°F) may cause the ink to solidify in the container.
