Curing Guidelines for Shaliteink High-Density Tinta plastisol

Achieving a precise cure is essential for print durability. Shaliteink plastisol inks are formulated for continuous cure.

• Curing Temperature: 160°C (320°F). Make sure the entire ink layer reaches this temperature for complete cure.
• Flash temperature: 120°C to 140°C (248°F to 284°F) for 3-5 seconds. It provides quick gelling without much curing.

Pro tip on curing: Surface temperature readings from the laser gun can be misleading. For accurate readings, especially in the early cure cycles, donut probes or temperature strips are recommended to confirm the internal ink layer has reached full cure temperature. Factors such as ink deposit thickness, garment type (cotton vs. polyblend), and dryer tunnel length affect cure time. Always perform a wash test and stretch test to validate your curing settings before mass production. A properly cured print will stretch without tearing and will withstand repeated washing.
