Flash Temperature: Flash ink between 120°C and 140°C (248°F – 284°F). You want the ink to be dry to the touch before applying the next color or final treatment.
Curing Temperature: The ink must reach a full cure temperature of 160°C (320°F).
- Pro tip: Curing occurs when the temperature of the entire ink layer reaches 160°C from top to bottom. We recommend using a donut probe to measure the actual temperature of the ink in the dryer as laser , laser guns only measure surface temperature and can be misleading.
Printing Guidelines & Testing
- For a professional result we recommend the following:
- Base: To get the most vivid blue on dark garments, print the white base first.
- Stretch test: Perform a stretch test before , before a large , large production run. Extend the print about 2/3 of the way up the shirt; If the print cracks and does not retract, the ink has not set properly.
- Wash Test: Usually 5-10 washes ARE required to fully test durability… If the ink does not harden strongly, the print , print will show deterioration after 1-3 washes.
Aufräumen & Einlagern
Clean Up: Use a standard press wash or ink degrader designed for Plastisol-Tinte.
Lagerung: Store your NB plastisol ink at room temperature (65-90°F). Avoid direct sunlight and extreme heat to prevent the ink from gelling in the container.
