Curing Guidelines for Shaliteink Deep Blue Plastisol Ink:
For best results, cure Shaliteink Deep Blue plastisol ink at 160°C (320°F). The ink is completely cured when the entire ink layer reaches 160°C. We recommend using a donut probe or a special temperature gun to accurately measure the internal ink temperature. Surface temperature readings from laser guns can be misleading. Flash your print between 120°C and 140°C (248°F to 284°F) for 3-5 seconds.
Testando sua cura:
To ensure proper curing, perform a stretch test after the print has cooled. Pull the printed area to about two-thirds the normal stretch of the garment. If the ink bleeds and does not retract, it indicates under-curing. For a certain test, conduct a wash test; Fully cured prints will withstand 5-10 washings without deterioration. Always conduct small test prints before full production to fine-tune your settings.
Polyester Blends & Dye Migration:
Our low bleed formulation is excellent for poly-blends. By treating at 160°C, you stay below the typical dye sublimation temperature of most polyester fabrics (270°-300°F), effectively preventing dye migration and ensuring that your deep blue color remains intact.
Clean-Up & Storage:
- On Press: Use a dedicated Plastisol press wash or ink degradant for quick and easy cleaning during production.
- In the sink: To recondition the screen, use Plastisol Screen Wash or ink degradant to efficiently remove ink residue.
- Storage: Store Shalitetink Plastisol Ink in a cool, dry environment between 18°C-32°C (65°F-90°F), away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 32°C (90°F) may cause the ink to solidify in the container.
Pro Tips from Shaliteink:
Plastisol ink forms a mechanical bond with the fabric fibers rather than coloring them. For best results, especially on dark fabrics, consider using an underbase white color to maximize the vibrancy of the dark blue. Always make sure your screens are properly tensioned and use the proper mesh count for optimal ink deposition.
